Welcome David Hadwin to the BrokerBotics Team!

We’re excited to welcome David Hadwin to the Brokerbotics team. David graduated from The University of Lynchburg with a degree in Computer Science.

He’s had the great pleasure of working with numerous Charlottesville companies including UVA, Sentara, Fisher Auto-parts, as well as a ServiceNow startup in San Diego. Aside from playing numerous sports, David loves building, virtually and in the real world and enjoys finding simple solutions to complex problems.

Is Option Volume Growth Over?

For the first time in years, options trading volume might see a year-over-year (YoY) decline. As of 2024 year-to-date, options volume is down about 2.3% compared to 2023.

This is despite the launch of numerous ETFs focusing on option strategies, which aimed to boost trading activity.

The pandemic-era surge in 2020 drove options trading to new heights, with a staggering 38% growth in volume that year. Since then, the market has grown annually, but at a slowing pace—and 2024 might be the year that breaks the streak.
